MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Baron Geisler was absent again at the Department of Justice's preliminary investigation into the criminal case filed against him by the daughter of fellow actor William Martinez.
As this developed, lawyer Salvador Panelo, who represents Martinez? daughter Patrizha Maree, said they are confident the complaint for unjust vexation filed by Geisler against his client would eventually be dismissed.
Patrizha has sued Geisler for acts of lasciviousness, claiming the actor asked her for a one-night stand, while they were at a bar in Makati City, and then, when he apologized and hugged her later, touched her breast.
In his own suit, Geisler claimed it was Patrizha who mad advances on him.
Patrizha has already submitted her counter-affidavit to the actor?s complaint, Panelo said.
The lawyer noted that Geisler ?is inconsistent. In previous media interviews he said he only practiced on Patrizha because his role in his next movie will be that of a rapist, and now he filed this complaint saying otherwise."
Since the Department of Justice began its investigation in May into the charges against Geisler, the actor has never attended a hearing.
