MANILA, Philippines -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo paid her last respects to Philippine radio icon Tiya Dely on Friday, her chief security said.

?The President stayed at the wake appreciably enough,? said Brigadier General Celedonio Boquiren, chief of the Presidential Security Group, said.

Arroyo arrived at the Premier II Chapel of the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City late Friday morning, Boquiren said.

Tiya Dely, Fidela Mendoza Magpayo in real life, passed away earlier this week during her radio program at dzRH.

Arroyo joins other prominent personalities in mourning Tiya Dely's passing, including Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) spokesman Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal.
