MANILA, Philippines?Film, television and stage director Khryss Adalia passed away at 7:30 am Monday due to colon cancer. He was 62.

Adalia was noted for directing the GMA-7 primetime blockbusters ?Bakekang? and ?Ako si Kim Sam Soon,? and the QTV-11 talk show ?Moms.?

He also starred in the recent box-office hit ?My Monster Mom? which will have a special screening on Thursday 8:30 pm at the UP Film Center with proceeds going to Adalia?s family.

?He?s a good, good person. We talk about good films all the time and the dream projects he wants to meg or direct,? said Ed Instrella, a talent manager and close friend, in a text message to INQUIRER.net.

?A true blue Libran, Khryss is a lover of everything gentle and beautiful,? Instrella said.

Adalia?s wake is at Chapel 8 of Funeraria Paz along Araneta Avenue in Quezon City.
