In an effort to prop up one engaged couple over another, a notorious TV Host criticized Celebrity Pair for keeping their love life secret.
One fine day, TH lambasted CP for being secretive on air?not knowing that the station?s news break had just let CP?s big secret out of the bag.
It?s a case of TH not doing one?s homework, remarked a mole.
Major faux pas
Controversial Host, TH?s rival, also made a major faux pas on air.
CH criticized the indie film movement for not being money-makers and tackling only serious, gay and adult themes.
What CH doesn?t seem to know is that local indie films have been breathing new life to the otherwise lackluster Filipino movie industry. Three of these indie films had, in fact, just been invited to Cannes, the world?s premiere festival.
Bratty Diva?s true colors
A fitness commercial required Bratty Diva to wear a bikini.
According to a witness, BD refused to emerge from the dressing room until the set was cleared of onlookers.
Offended, the fans on the set couldn?t help but compare BD to Sultry Starlets from a rival network.
SSs also had a sexy shoot in the same venue and they were friendly to the fans.
Apparently, BD hasn?t changed her nasty ways.
Costly soap
If you are wondering why the new soap opera of Dazzling Star is languishing in limbo, it?s because Network Bosses are hesitant to release it.
For one thing, DS?s most recent flick performed below expectations at the tills.
Worse, DS?s show is so expensive that NBs fear that it won?t be able to recoup, considering its currently dismal prospects for advertisements.
Not-so-great pretender
At a recent public event, High-Flying Personality feigned surprise that colleagues and celebrities gathered to cheer him up in a time of crisis.
But days before the event, HFP?s lieutenant was overheard inviting media people to the gathering, promising that a galaxy of stars would be in attendance.
HFP should take acting lessons, pronto. Or at least coordinate with drumbeaters.
Marriage over?
NEW YORK?Sean Penn and Robin Wright apparently tried to make it work, but now it seems their marriage might be over for good.
The couple, both actors, want to divorce after 13 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
Penn, a double Oscar winner, filed the petition on April 23 in Marin County Superior Court in San Rafael, California, according to court papers.
The couple married in April 1996. Penn has requested joint legal and physical custody of their 18-year-old daughter, Dylan Francis, and 15-year-old son, Hopper Jack.
This isn?t the first indication of their marital strife. The Penns filed for divorce in December 2007 but dismissed their petition several months later.
They attended the Academy Awards together in February. But Penn, 48, who won an Oscar for his role in the drama ?Milk,? neglected to thank his wife in his acceptance speech.AP
Big screen debut
LOS ANGELES?Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am wants to make movies. For now, though, he?ll settle for making his big screen debut in ?X-Men Origins: Wolverine.?
?I?m nervous to see my performance,? said the self-described ?X-Men? fan.
He plays Wraith, a teleporter who befriends Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) during a mutant military mission to Africa. Years later, Wolverine tracks down his pal at a nondescript boxing gym in Las Vegas and the two take off on a fact-finding adventure.
Jackman, also a producer on the movie, said will.i.am was the perfect choice for the role because he and Wraith have something in common.
?I thought it was a great way for him to come into movies because both of them are the coolest cats on the planet,? Jackman said. ?What Will has that?s unmistakable is screen presence.? AP
