LEGAZPI CITY – A Bulgarian contestant of the reality show “Survivor,” which was being shot in Camarines Sur province, died of heart failure Saturday afternoon, police said.

Moncho Vo Moncho Vodnicharov, 53, suffered cardiac arrest at around 12:20 p.m. after participating in strenuous activities at Gota Beach Resort in Camaroan town, said Inspector Ayn Natuel, Bicol regional police spokesperson.

Vodnicharov died on the spot and his remains were airlifted to Manila, Natuel said.

A Filipino doctor, Geniveive Go and a Bulgarian doctor, Nicolay Niekov both confirmed that Vodnicharov died of a cardiac arrest, Natuel said.
