MANILA, Philippines ? Police filed several charges, including acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation, against actor Baron Geisler for allegedly sexually harassing actress Yasmien Kurdi, a police official said.
The case was filed before a court in Bulacan province, where the alleged harassment took place while Geisler and Kurdi were on the set of their television show, said Chief Superintendent Yolanda Tanigue, chief of the police Women?s and Children?s Protection Center (WCPC).
Kurdi, accompanied by her lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, filed a supplemental affidavit to her sexual harassment complaint before the WCPC on Tuesday noon.
The young actress was ?very emotional? and was recommended to undergo counseling, Tanigue said.
In her affidavit, Kurdi said Geisler masturbated in front of her while they were on set, Tanigue said.
"Ang matinding iniiyakan niya, may mga nakakita, may mga witnesses, pero ngayon mag-isa na lang siyang lumalaban [She was crying because people saw what happened, there were witnesses. Now, she?s fighting alone]," Tanigue said.
Tanigue said police would provide Kurdi with security.
Topacio appealed to Kurdi?s home station, GMA-7, saying, ?I would like to extend the olive branch to GMA because their reply was very strong and I never intended to impute any malice to GMA."
The lawyer had alleged that his client was misquoted in a GMA-7 news report that she was not pursuing charges against Geisler.
