MANILA, Philippines—The Quezon City prosecutors’ office has directed Irene Kho, mother of cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho, to submit her rejoinder affidavit within a week’s time after actress Katrina Halili filed her reply affidavit this week.

Kho, who is facing a libel complaint filed by Halili for allegedly libelous remarks made in a TV interview, was ordered to file her rejoinder by Thursday next week.

Halili has already submitted her reply affidavit to Kho’s counter affidavit, in which the actress downplayed Kho’s allegations of Lolit Solis’s involvement in the sex video scandal.

Halili’s lawyer Raymond Palad pointed out that Kho’s mention of a meeting between the Kho lawyers and Solis on May 21 would not hurt Halili.

“She was not involved in that meeting. That mention of the meeting, in which Kho alleged that Solis was behind the scandal, would not hurt Katrina,” Palad said in an interview on Thursday.
