MANILA, Philippines?The Quezon City prosecutors office has dismissed a complaint against actress Claudine Barretto filed by a former aide who accused her of not enrolling her in the Social Security System.

In a resolution, assistant city prosecutor Leonardo Raul Gonzales junked the complaint filed by Nancy Cruz for lack of probable cause.

Cruz lodged the complaint against her former employer in 2008, alleging that Barretto failed to report her employment to the SSS. Cruz also alleged that Barretto did not give her financial aid during her pregnancy.

Barretto denied the accusations and said Cruz initially did not want to be registered with the SSS, but later informed Barretto that she had enrolled in the SSS with a monthly contribution of P2,500.

The assistant city prosecutor pointed out that Cruz?s complaint was not referred to the SSS to verify if Barretto did or didn?t comply with the Social Security Act.
