FIL-AUSSIE star MiG Ayesa has written a song entitled United As One to help raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy (international codenape: Ketsana).

MiG who gained fame as a Top 3 finalist in the RockStar:INXS hopes that people can pick up this song and use it as an anthem for the relief efforts and also use it to raise much-needed funds.

He said people must listen to the beautiful lyrics and melody of this uplifting soft rock song and surely theyll find peace, strength and hope to help the victims pick up the pieces. The world has seemed to forgotten what is still such a painful and drastic situation. I hope this song will inspire people to act and give hope.

MiG, a London and Sydney theater actor-singer-turned pop/rock performer, is in New York after taking part in a major benefit concert called BANDing2gether for the Ondoy Relief Fund held last Oct. 11, at St. John School Auditorium in Jersey City, New Jersey, with New Yorks eight leading Fil-Am bands and other local artists.

Here are the lyrics of the song:

United As One
(Words and music by MiG Ayesa)
(Tagalog Translations by Freddie Santos)

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

(Sibling, friend, countrymen)

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

Kasama mo ako

(I am with you)

Kasama mo ako

I hear you calling out my name

And I just cant ignore what youre saying

I see you falling from the pain
And Im feeling the way that youre hurting

Youre my brother, sister dont you cry

Ill be there by your side to hold you up

Though you never thought this would matter

Ill never leave you alone (Kasama mo ako)

So hold on tightly, hang on Ill be

There by your side and well battle the tide together

Together

Dont be scared well

Soon be where we

All want to be as we stand here united as one.

Pag langit ay du-mi-di-lim (When dark cloud leaves you in despair)

And the rain seems to fall down forever

At buhay ay uma-aah-sim (When life is just too much to bear)

And you cant feel the break in the weather

You dont have to worry

Ill help you carry on

Through the eye of the storm were holding on

The days dawning, feel the sun warming

Healing you, keeping you strong (Kasama mo ako)

So hold on tightly, hang on Ill be

There by your side and well battle the tide together

Together

Dont be scared well

Soon be where we

All want to be as we stand here united as one.

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

You are my brother, sister, mother

Ill be there by your side to hold you up

Ill be by your side

So hold on tightly, hang on Ill be

There by your side and well battle the tide together

Together

Dont be scared well

Soon be where we

All want to be as we stand here united as one.

We stand as one.

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

Kapatid, Kaibigan, Kababayan

Kasama mo ako

Kasama mo ako
