MANILA, Philippines?(UPDATE) Television host and actress Kris Aquino has been resting and doing well after suffering a fall in her house last Friday, her brother and presidential candidate Senator Benigno ``Noynoy'' Aquino III said on Sunday.

Senator Aquino did not disclose the hospital where his sister was staying but said she was expected to be discharged on Monday. (Earlier, Aquino?s personal assistant Alvin Gagui told Philippine Daily Inquirer in a text message that she is confined at the Makati Medical Center.)

He said his sister suffered a concussion and that her stay in the hospital was for just for precaution.

?The doctors forced her to stay in the hospital,? Aquino said in a phone interview, in reference to his sister.

Aquino said Kris fell and hit her head after she slipped while taking a shower on Friday, adding he did not know what time the accident happened.

Kris went to the hospital after complaining of feeling dizzy, said the senator, the standard bearer of the Liberal Party in the May 10 presidential polls.

Aquino said he had visited his sister and that she was ?okay? and ?bored.?

In a text message, Gagui said: ?Ms Kris got cerebral and labyrinthine concussion secondary to fall. She also had high blood pressure.

?She will be back to work on Wednesday. According to her doctor, she needs minimum of three days? rest. She is currently confined at the Makati Medical Center.?
