MANILA, Philippines?The Commission on Elections on Wednesday received 5,012 plastic ballot boxes, the first batch of the 76,000 plastic ballot boxes to be used for the May 10 polls, an official said.

The ballot boxes, black in color to prevent UV ink and security markings from fading, are being stored at the Philippine Postal Corporation warehouse in Intramuros, Manila said election commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal.
