LOS ANGELES ? Britain's Sarah Ferguson will appear on the Oprah Winfrey US television show, likely to be her first interview since a scandal in which she was filmed apparently selling access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew.
"The interview with Duchess of York will air Tuesday on The Oprah Winfrey Show," a spokeswoman for the program said Thursday.
It was not immediately clear whether the former member of the British royal family would speak on the scandal that erupted with a Sunday News of the World video showing her meeting one the paper's reporters working undercover.
The weekly tabloid said Ferguson had promised to introduce the journalist to the prince ? Britain's special representative for international trade and investment ? for the equivalent of 500,000 pounds or $723,000.
Also this week, Ferguson was in Los Angeles where she accepted an award for her work with a children's charity.
Ferguson, who divorced from Queen Elizabeth II's second son in 1996, apologized Sunday for a "serious lapse in judgment" after the release of the film footage.
