MANILA, Philippines?A concert, benefit variety show featuring GMA7?s Starstruck young talents caps today the blood donation program dubbed ?Patak-Patak sa Kadugo,? highlight of the month-long celebration of the Blood Donors Month.
July is Blood Donors Month observed annually pursuant to National Blood Services Act of 1994. This celebration included various activities to achieve the goal of 100 percent voluntary blood donation in the country for a safe, adequate and accessible blood supply.
This year, one of the highlights of the celebration was the launching of the trimedia campaign on the voluntary blood donation dubbed as ?Patak-Patak sa Kadugo? spearheaded by the Department of Health-National Voluntary Services Program with the support from the Global Fund Round 6-HIV Project. The campaign was designed to encourage the youth to maintain a healthy lifestyle to be able to share the gift of blood and save lives.
Featured in today?s GMA7 concert at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) are Shirley Halili-Cruz Dancers, 29AD Band/NextGen band, We are Indios, Gretchen Yaoyao and child singer, Ella Rondina.
