MANILA, Philippines -- Singing sweethearts Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez are planning to tie the knot soon.

The news was confirmed by Alcasid who told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that ?details regarding the ceremony are still being finalized.?

A source close to the couple said that December has been eyed as the wedding month.

One thing?s for sure, Megastar Sharon Cuneta is one of the ninangs, as she announced in her ?Mega Drama? concert last Saturday night.

Alcasid also bared plans to ask singer Lea Salonga to perform at the ceremony.

Alcasid said: ?I am extremely happy and blessed.?

Alcasid ended his marriage years ago from his first wife, former Miss Australia Michelle van Eimeren, who has remarried in Australia.

Alcasid did not discuss the details of the annulment of his marriage to Van Eimeren when he confirmed his wedding plans with Velasquez.
