MANILA, Philippines ? The Bureau of Internal Revenue has charged actor Mark Herras for allegedly failing to obey a subpoena for him to present his restaurant?s accounting records for the year 2008.
In a complaint, the BIR Legal Division named the GMA 7 talent, who is corporate treasurer of a restaurant, as respondent in the complaint for violation of section 266 of the Tax Code.
The BIR issued a subpoena to Herras on July 21 for him to appear before the Legal Division and bring with him the accounting records of Clubserv Bar and Restaurant on August 16, but Herras allegedly failed to do so.
