MANILA, Philippines?Movie and Television Review and Classification Board chairperson Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares confirmed on Friday that three members of the adjudication committee inhibited themselves from the investigation of the case of TV host Willie Revillame, who was accused of committing ?acts of child abuse? by the Commission on Human Rights.
Revillame and his primetime game show ?Willing Willie? on TV5 have been slammed by various groups after airing a controversial episode showing a boy simulating a striptease.
In a Radyo Inquirer interview, the MTRCB chairperson said that she was ?saddened? by this development and that she believed in the integrity of the three panel members.
Llamanzares refused to name who would replace the vacated positions in the panel, however, she said that a teacher, an independent film director, and a lawyer would assume the vacancies.
