?KEEPING THE CHILD IN ME ALIVE helps me cope with problems,? said actress Eula Valdez, denying rumors that she and husband Richard Litonjua had split up after three years.

?I treat life as one big game,? Eula told Living Stars in a recent interview in Quezon City. ?I try to enjoy it as much as I can.?

While she is still known as the vicious Amor Powers in the defunct soap ?Pangako Sa ?Yo,? Eula said she is actually ?childlike and crazy, but not in a scary kind of way.?

She confessed to being ?a dreamer, a believer in mythical beings ... fascinated with Dragonology and obsessed with collecting swords and toys.?

She said she hoped to someday build a storage room for her collections. ?But I have to renovate the house,? added the mother of two?Miguel, 12, and Juliana, 2. ?We should have an attic. I have so much stuff!?

The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year? by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers helps me deal with people. I ask about their birthdays and read about their personalities in this book.

I?m fascinated with dragons. I own a couple of reading materials on Dragonology. I?m one of those people who believe those mythical beings really existed.

I keep ?Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah? comic books because I played the lead role in its stage play version at the CCP. One of the books was given to me by the author, Carlo Vergara. But my most treasured comic books are those of the character Electra. Jennifer Garner?s portrayal of the role in the film is very different from the comic book character. Electra has a violent nature. She?s kind of deranged.

There was a time when I collected comic books on the ?Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.? Back in high school, I found it really cool that there were turtles that fought like ninjas.

My latest purchase is the Achilles sword, a copy of the one Brad Pitt used in ?Troy.? I also have a replica of the sword of Conan the Barbarian. To own a St. Michael sword is my ultimate dream. Sobrang ganda n?un. I?m saving up for it.

When my husband found out about my interest in ?Electra? when he was still courting me, he gifted me with this pair of Electra?s Sai (shows a pair of daggers both with two long projections or ?tsuba? on the handles). It?s kind of heavy. I use this instead of dumbbells when I work out. I have another Electra sword, which I only bought on-line.

My husband?s Australian friend stayed in our house for a while. When he learned of my interest in swords, he gifted me with this one (shows a miniature sword with the ?Lord of the Rings? logo). This is a replica of the sword of Aragorn, king of Gondor.

My son and I love this ?Star Wars? light saber. The lights on ordinary ?Star Wars? swords turn on all at the same time. If you look at this one closely, parang gumagapang ang light. This looks so much like the light sabers in the movie.

A fan who?s now based in the United States, gave me a sword, too. I don?t know of its origin, but I was impressed with its intricate design. It?s a little blunt, but I think I can have it sharpened.

My ?Daywalker? sword is the really sharp one. I actually tried to cut something with this. It comes with a sling?like the ones Wesley Snipes used in the film, ?Blade.?

I?m saving up for a ?Highlander? sword. Its handle is made of ivory?which is the only reason I?m having second thoughts. It means elephants are killed to make them.

I?ve been collecting comic books since 1988, mostly of ?Electra,? ?Ahnk? and ?Shaman?s Tears.? I also have a couple of ?Superman? editions?when DC Comics changed his looks, and when he died.

I have some of (graphic novelist) Neil Gaiman?s works. Too bad I missed him when he visited the Philippines.

Aside from the standard ?Electra? stuff, I also have ?Electra Assassin? in hard cover. But the paperbacks have more value than hard-bound copies. I?m fascinated with the beliefs and traditions of American Indians; that?s why I collect ?Shaman?s Tears.? Someone told me that I was a male warrior in a past life. I remember when I was little and would always tell my mom, ?I want to be a knight.? She would answer, ?You can?t, honey, you?re a girl. Besides, we live in the Philippines.?

I?ve had a crush on Jim Morrison since I was a child. Too bad he died young. He?s so good-looking, and he is also a brilliant musician. I am attracted to guys like him who seem to have a dark side. I have books about his life, his writings and pictures, and lyrics of songs he composed.

I?m also a fan of Madonna?s (shows books on the singer, including ?Madonna? by Andrew Norton). I admit she?s not a great singer but people are drawn to her. She?s an icon.

This jacket is perfect when you?re driving a motorcycle or a top-down car (shows leather piece in maroon with gold buttons). It looks great when worn with gloves.

I?ve had this military jacket (with a London Jack patch) from Replay since 2002, but people got to like this style only recently. Ang cool n?ya! This reminds me of the Beatles?the Sgt. Pepper?s (Lonely Hearts Club Band) look with a modern touch. I think Paul McCartney owns something similar.

This Mango black pea coat is perfect for attending premieres and awards shows on rainy evenings. Sometimes, I imagine myself going in a black tinted car and I feel like I?m in one of the scenes of ?The Godfather.?

This (shows an embroidered velvet Armani jacket) makes me feel like I?m a Romanov or a member of the Russian Army!

This blue-violet gown doesn?t fit me anymore. Its waistline is only 23. This is perfect with a chandelier necklace. It makes you feel like a member of the English royal family. It has a train in just the right length. Designer Pepsi Herrera made this for me to wear in ?Pangako Sa ?Yo.?

I wore this Pepsi Herrera piece when I attended one of the Star Awards ceremonies. I was vacationing in Australia when ABS-CBN people told me to return home. They said there?s a big chance I?d win an award. I wasn?t prepared for it. From the airport, I went straight to the UP Theaterwearing only a pair of low-waist leather pants, a sleeveless shirt and biker boots. I rushed backstage and saw Pepsi there holding up this gown. We didn?t even meet earlier to have this gown fitted. Pepsi has a mannequin at his store that?s exactly my size.

I?m not so much into bags, but this Louis Vuitton suitcase is special to me. I got this at a really reasonable price. It?s vintage; it looks like it was created during the time of the ?Titanic.? I?ve had this for almost 10 years now. Owning an LV bag really helps especially when you travel to places where there?s racial discrimination. I make sure to really dress well in those places. Having designer stuff helps, too.
