MANILA, Philippines?This just in: Gary Valenciano may leave ?anytime soon? for Singapore to start rehearsals for a local theater company?s production of the Broadway hit, ?Guys and Dolls.?

This was according to a reliable source, who also said the award-winning singer-composer may take the lead role. The source did not give details about the production, but said the play would run for six months.

Valenciano, who visited the Inquirer recently for a chat with the Entertainment staff, did say that something ?big and exciting? was afoot.

He was enumerating the events in the celebration this year of his 25th anniversary in show biz, including a tribute album and a concert tour.

?I wish I could tell you about this other big thing,? he said. ?But you will know soon.? Well, this sounds like it.
