From Gilbert Rabuco, California (Ateneo8 @ aol.com)::
When I first heard the news (about the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group?s confirmation that TV host Willie Revillame issued three checks for a Ferrari allegedly smuggled into the country), I was impressed with the efficient work of the PASG. It seemed then that it was doing its work fairly. But after watching TFC, I got the impression that Revillame was able to talk his way out of the illegal situation.
The PASG has already demonstrated its capacity to enforce the law. Is it conceivable for anyone to simply say, ?I am not aware, therefore I am innocent?? What ever happened to the maxim, ?Ignorance of the law does not excuse anyone, not even celebrities??
