Dollywood
Willie has top-of-the line yacht called ‘Princess’

MANILA, Philippines - Willie Revillame?s Ferrari controversy has waned. Now I hear he has a top-of-the-line yacht called ?Princess,? docked somewhere in Batangas.

What a coincidence that it carries the name of his ex-wife, Princess Punzalan. Does this boat somehow remind Mr. Wilyonaryo of his struggling days as a drummer when he and Cess were starting out?

From the Big Apple

Here?s Marvin Agustin?s text to me all the way from New York: ?Hey Doll! I?m in NY to celebrate my birthday. I?m also trying to sign up for a two-day acting workshop in NYU. And I?m researching for resto concepts here to bring home to Manila.?

Marvin has achieved so much since his humble beginnings as a bartender, yet he refuses to stop growing. Will he find a new apple of his eye in the Big Apple?

Not preggy

Pinky Maquez sent an SMS to clarify that her daughter Karel is not preggy. I wrote the item in question form. Now we know the answer is a big fat NO.

New Angel

Angel Locsin?s detractors had better brace themselves for the unfolding of a new Angel in ABS-CBN?s ?Lobo,? which premieres tonight. Her role as Lyka is a far cry from her previous heroine roles.

She portrays a mysterious girl whose secret identity comes between her and an enigmatic soldier played by Piolo Pascual. ?First time ko to play such an unpredictable character. Ngayon ko lang masasabing isa na akong ganap na aktres,? beams Angel.

Is Lobo out to beat GMA -7?s ?Marimar?? ?We just want to entertain the viewers,? says Gel.

Lobo?s airing was delayed but it only made Angel?s fans yearn for her more. Scarcity is power while overexposure can be a dangerous thing.

Major concert

After Toni Gonzaga?s albums turned gold and platinum, she?s raring to do her first major concert, ?Catch Me... Toni Gonzaga? on Feb. 9, 8 p.m. at Aliw Theater, with special guests Sam Milby and Vhong Navarro. (Call 9115555 or 7195726.)

Does she get more fulfillment from singing or acting? ?Singing is ... like therapy for me,? says Toni. ?Acting gives me an adrenaline rush for playing various roles.?

The role closest to her heart is being Direk Paul Soriano?s GF. She will sing Jojo?s ?Never Say Goodbye? for Paul at her concert. No swan song for the couple. Instead, will they have two doves coming out of a bell soon?

?I can say our relationship is for keeps. We put God in the center. It?s all up to Him.? Ahh, love is all over Toni?s tone!

Guess who

Guess who this estranged celeb couple is. The guy?s bodyguard squealed that it was the woman who had pursued the man relentlessly. Now that things have turned sour, she?s making him look like the bad guy. That?s loving for bitter or for worst.

Tagle book

The launch of positivism exponent and painter E.R. Tagle?s recent book, ?The Human Body is God?s Greatest Gift to Humanity,? is set at the National Press Club (NPC) on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

According to NPC president Roy Mabasa and NPC director and Cultural Committee chairman Jerry Yap, this is in line with NPCs desire to raise awareness and involvement of its members in the fine arts.

E.R. Tagle will also exhibit original works to raise funds for the club?s educational scholarship and medical program. Call NPC, 3010521; or Tagle at 0927-5522288.
