Dollywood
‘Like a script out of a suspense thriller’

MANILA, Philippines?Ayala Avenue?s Beverly Hills 6750 is alive with the sound of controversy.

The cosmetic surgery and skin institute?s owners have sued high-profile couple David Bunevacz and Jessica Rodriguez for estafa, fraud and deception. David used to be president of the beauty clinic while Jessica handled public relations.

A member of the board of directors, Chito Ho, said David and Jessica ?have been using company funds to prop up a lavish lifestyle. The complaint sheet for the estafa cases reads like a script out of a suspense thriller. Only this time, the cases are for real.?

Tyrone Ong, another member of the board, adds, ?They are in the US cooling their heels, but soon enough, the long arm of the law will catch up with them.?

Ain?t no mountain or (Beverly) Hills high enough to keep the owners from getting to the Bunevaczes.

V-Day hangover poems

For those nursing a Valentines? Day hangover, I thought of making variations of some famous love poems in relation to current show biz issues.

This is all in the spirit of good cheer so I hope the celebs involved would just laugh their hearts out.

Tonyboy Cojuangco to Gretchen Barretto (on the aftermath of her rumored liaison with Dodie Puno):

How do I love thee? Let me count the intrigues

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

Your closet can reach, when you?re out of sight

For the ends of your partying and ideal disgrace.

I love thee to the level of everyday?s

Most nagging issue about us, by TV and satellite ...

Martin Nievera to Pops Fernandez (on rumors that he has a new girl named Angie who?s a real princess):

Roses are red, violets are blue

Angie is a princess and Concert Queen are you

Hope you don?t believe

Rumors about her and me

I won?t be singing to her ?Be my Lady? ...

Patrick Garcia to Jennylyn Mercado (on the emotional roller-coaster ride they?ve been going through since she got pregnant):

Shall I compare thee to a summer?s day?

Thou art more hot and more temperate.

Rough intrigues do shake our darling babe due September

And your movie?s release hath all too short a date.

Sometime too hot the eye of gossip shines,

And often is our chance at happiness dimmed;

And every interview from interview we should decline,

By chance, or controversy changing course untrimmed ...

Becky Aguila to Angel Locsin (regarding their nth manager/ward ?tampuhan?):

The fountains mingle with the river

And the Kapusos with the Kapamilyas,

The winds of show biz mix forever

With a bittersweet emotion;

Nothing in this biz is simple;

All things by a project divine

In one contract meet and mingle.

Why not I with thine?

?Tropezz Oscars?

Come as the star that you are tonight at Tropezz Bar & Resto (Level 2, Greenbelt 3) for its first anniversary celebration dubbed ?Sparkle: Tropezz Oscars.? Red carpet treatment awaits you!

1st Philippine Starball

Don?t miss the 1st Philippine Starball ballroom dance competition on ABS-CBN on Feb. 24 (after ?Dats My Doc?), hosted by Pops Fernandez and Ruffa Gutierrez. Some 50 dance partners will vie for big cash prizes.

The event that debuts in Manila features Nick and Lena Kosovich of ?Dancing with the Stars? fame, and former World Latin champions Max Kozhevnikov and Beata.

Enough of dancing like nobody?s watching.
