About those tickets...

FROM Belle Baldoza, Public Relations Officer, Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City:

In behalf of Uniprom Inc., our entertainment and leisure arm, may I clarify two articles published in your section?

The items are about the Maroon 5 concert (held last night) at the Araneta Coliseum. The March 2 article referred to an e-mail complaint that majority of Upper and Lower Box tickets had been pulled out a few days after selling started and dispatched to scalpers. The next day, a story by Pocholo Concepcion said a ?big? client was behind it.

The reports have no basis in fact. It was Viva Concerts, promoter of said show, that pulled out the tickets, which they gave to Smart Communications as part of their sponsorship deal.

***

Thanks for the clarification. In fact, not one of the complaints referred to Araneta Coliseum as remotely involved in the reported pullout. We really hope this makes fans, who couldn?t get tickets up till the last minute, feel less agitated.? Ed.
