Summer music courses
MANILA, Philippines?The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab welcomes enthusiasts to its 21st summer offering in the musical performing arts.
Musikgarten, a course in music education for children ages 4-7, is about rhythm and movement, singing and instrumental ensemble playing.
The 14-K Program, a training workshop developed by Mr. C, includes ensemble singing and dancing for 8- to 13-year-olds.
Musiktheatre for kids 10-13 and 14-18 years old, includes basic acting and musical theater and individual voice lessons.
Streetdancing is for 12- to 16-year-olds.
The music school is located at the lower level of the Robinsons Galleria, Edsa corner Ortigas. Call 914-5055 or 637-9840.
ICanServe donor
Volunteers and beneficiaries of the breast cancer patient advocacy group ICanServe recently feted multi-awarded car racer Gaby de la Merced (in photo, right) who picked the group as her beneficiary for her winnings in the recent Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2.
De la Merced, third placer in the PBBCE2, pledged P300,000 of her prize to ICanServe, which empowers women with information on cancer.
Cinema One Originals
Cinema One movie channel opens its doors once again to filmmakers through its annual ?Cinema One Originals.?
Chosen film scripts will be funded by Cinema One with a budget of P1,000,000 to cover all filming expenses.
These select creations will also be shown worldwide.
Deadline for submission of entries is on March 28.
