MANILA, Philippines?TV host-comedian Anjo Yllana announced his separation from wife Jackie Manzano in an interview with GMA-7?s showbiz talk show ?Startalk? on Saturday.

Anjo said they will file for divorce.

?We?re separated. We?re filing for divorce kasi married kami sa Las Vegas. We were never married here,? Anjo said in the Startalk interview.

He said the break-up was not difficult because they previously underwent a ?trial separation? two years ago but reconciled.

?Hindi ganoon kahirap para sa amin kasi sa mga hindi nakakaalam, we already broke up two years ago. For almost a year parang naghiwalay kami kasi maraming hindi pagkakaintindihan. So, we opted separate then, parang trial. After less than a year, nagbalikan kami,? Anjo said.

Jackie then had a high-risk pregnancy because of a heart illness but successfully delivered their fourth child, a boy, last December.

Anjo admitted their 13-year marriage was tumultuous. ?Marami kaming di pagkakaintindihan dati pa. We?re 13 years na ata ngayon. On and off yung away. We decided finally to end it.?

Anjo said the decision was mutual and would break the sad news to their eldest daughters later Saturday.

?Hindi ko alam kung papaano ko sasabihin sa kanila. Panganay ko, I don?t how she?ll take it. Gusto ko magkaroon kami ng heart to heart talk. Yun ang pinaka-concern ko ngayon,? he said.

Anjo also disclosed their custody arrangement. ?I?ll have the kids on weekends. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Tapos sa kanya sa weekdays pag may pasok.?

Despite the separation, Anjo said he and Jackie remain friends.

?What?s important hindi kami magkaaway. Sabi ko nga you may not be my wife anymore and I?m not your husband but we remain friends. Kung meron mang problema, somebody to talk to, I?ll always be here for her.?
