Two versions of one Mega ‘breakdown’

MANILA, Philippines - There are two versions of this story that many, for sure, have heard by now. Both versions are supposedly from unimpeachable sources. How is this possible, when the settings and circumstances are different and only the conclusion is the same?
Either it happened twice, or it didn’t happen at all.
Version 1 was thrown at us, not so casually, as we ran down the stairs at the workplace on Wednesday: Sharon Cuneta is said to have broken down before members of media while replying to a question about the possibility of daughter KC and herself bumping into ex-husband Gabby Concepcion and having no choice but to exchange words. That’s the digestible part. The unpleasant part is that the media people were asked daw not to write about the incident.
Version 2 puts Mega in front of Boy Abunda during a taped interview. The question is not clear, but Sharon’s alleged response was, “I taught my daughter to love and respect the man who broke my spirit.” This was reportedly followed by a torrent of tears, and a decision to edit the portion out.
As we said, either this never happened, or it happened twice. We’re befuddled, to say the least. Mega is one of the strongest and most stable people we know in local show biz. From her we’ve heard volumes of quotable quotes on moving on after a severed relationship. And she’s not here to respond to these allegations.
Whether there’s some truth to any of this, or it’s just the handiwork of eager spinners (do we smell a “reunion” movie?), the fact remains that it is unfair to Mega, who is not in the country, by the way, to clarify things. She’s in London shooting “Caregiver.”
Rustom’s ‘grande passion’
Guesting on “Nuts Entertainment,” fabulously gay Rustom Padilla intimated that if his life were made into a movie, a vital segment would be devoted to the love of his life, Fellow Actor.
Alas, FA cannot play himself in the bio-pic. “It will shock the entire industry,” Rustom reportedly quipped.
According to a source, FA didn’t think twice about abandoning his ka-loveteam in the middle of a junket, to meet up with Rustom in the US.
Now, that’s le grande passion.
Jolina in a gondola
Rushes got this text from Jolina Magdangal, who’s currently filming GMA Films’ “Italy (I Trust And Love You)” in Europe:
“We are in the middle of the sea, on our way to Naples. We just finished shooting in Venice. It was such a beautiful scene, it made me cry. I was in a gondola, in a wedding gown. The Italians who watched the shoot, applauded and serenaded me as the gondola passed by.”
Million-peso baby
TV Host had been wanting to experience maternal bliss for so long. After repeated misfires and costly visits to a fertility clinic in Singapore, she got pregnant.
Now that she’s a proud mom, she’s on cloud nine—never mind that she and her hubby parted with lots of money for those treatments.

The product of a reality search, Teen Actor, we were told, has been spotted hanging out in several Quezon City nightspots —trolling for clients including gays and matrons.
According to a mole, since TA’s prospects in the oldest profession have been dwindling, he’s had to slash his asking price from P20,000 to P5,000. A considerable markdown.
Pill-popping posse
One member of a sexy-dance troupe supposedly left her bag in a dressing room during a show.
When a production staffer searched the bag for an ID, she found a bunch of illegal stuff, from weed to ecstasy.
Cast party for two
Years ago, Singer-Actor disappeared with another Singer-Actor in the middle of a cast party for a just-concluded show.
Asked about the two SAs’ whereabouts, a gay friend shrugged: “Back in SA1’s pad, popping pills, no doubt.”
Sarah for Bench
Teen singing superstar (we don’t use the term lightly) Sarah Geronimo is the new celebrity endorser for HerBench.
The clothing label is “proudly” launching her on Tuesday, April 15, 6 p.m., at the SM Mall of Asia’s International Skating Rink. Dress code: “Warm-weather wear/jacket.” Cool Bench cottons will do.
Parokya for Samsung
Speaking of celeb endorsers, Samsung Mobile’s Live Loud Campaign has just declared Parokya ni Edgar as “ambassadors.”
The campaign launches the music phones I450, F330 and F250.
