MANILA, Philippines?We have 10 koi in the pond, two bulb-headed goldfish and two bugle-eye blackfish. The former owners [of the property] used to have a pebble garden there. When we renovated the house, my husband (fellow lawyer and broadcaster) Danny and I argued because I wanted that area to be a pond. I like the sound of water. He wanted it to be part of the bedroom. How functional. Duh! Now, he is the one who likes to hang out there and feed the fish. He even buys ceramic fishes, which he displays around the pond. Every so often, he brings home fish figures from different tiangges, exporters? fairs and roadside stores.
