Why Jom wasn’t in Bora with Pipay

MANILA, Philippines?Jomari Yllana laughs off rumors about splitting up with Pops Fernandez.

?All is well between us,? he says. ?I don?t know where that?s coming from.?

Some people apparently jumped to that conclusion, just because Pipay was spotted in Boracay having fun with her girlfriends. Jom says, ?I was supposed to be with Pipay at that 10th anniversary party of Boracay Regency. I was at the grand opening of Rapide La Union, so I couldn?t go with her.?

Pipay?s not the type to do any mischief, actually.

Jom is cool about her and Martin being on speaking terms again. ?I respect them both as parents to their kids,? he says. ?I?m glad they?re okay now. That?s very good for Robin and Ram.? He doesn?t mind, either, that Pipay celebrated Mother?s Day with Martin and the boys.

Jom tells me, ?I gave her a box of cookies on that special day. We have our own bonding time with her kids.? Bonding never turns into bondage for Pipay and Jom. They are secure about their relationship ? in each other?s presence, and absence as well.

All clear?

Sam Milby is relieved that his ?war? with Tita Lolit is over. But is another war brewing between him and Anne Curtis? mother ? who has said on TV that she likes Luis Manzano better than Sam for her daughter?

?I?ve cleared things with her mom,? Sam says. ?It did not affect my relationship with Anne.? Hmm...is it a REALationship already? Real or Not Real?

?KSP? actress

Guess who this actress is. She was fuming mad at an editor and a publisher because of an article that came with revealing pics. ?Grabe! She was cursing on the phone, demanding that the publisher pull out all copies of the mag,? reveals a source. ?Kakatawa siya, kasi she granted naman the interview, so bakit siya nagagalit?? Is she so hungry for attention that she?ll eat her own words?just to stir up a commotion?

Cumbersome

Guess who this TV host/actress is. At the contract signing for her ad, she was seated between the PR guy and the owner of the restaurant she?s endorsing. The PR guy introduced himself and mentioned that his dad and her mom were friends. Ms. TV host ignored him. But she asked the resto owner who the PR guy?s dad was. ?Deadma siya sa PR guy the whole time. She was relaying her messages to him through the owner,? relates my source. ?Weird kasi magkatabi lang silang tatlo.? Cumbersome threesome?

From Star Magic

I?ve said my piece about the Kristine Hermosa-Direk Andoy controversy on ?The Buzz? and www.pep.ph. To elaborate in this space would be self-serving. Besides, there are other scoops waiting to be unearthed.

Here?s Star Magic?s official statement, sent by Rikka Dylim, on the Kristine Hermosa-Direk Andoy Ranay brouhaha. May this finally put the issue to rest:

?Kristine and Andoy became good friends in the course of the taping for ?Prinsesa ng Banyera.? Where did the trouble start? From a rape scene that Tin felt she did not have to do thrice for the part. There had been ?attempted rapes? made on her character in the show and one more would seem ridiculous.

?She went through the proper channels, discussing her insights/feelings with Star Magic as to why she did not want to do the rape scene. Star Magic intervened and spoke to Production about the said rape scene and was assured that such a scene would not be shot anymore (sic).

?However, after getting the assurance, Production still wanted to proceed with the scene and tried to use their ?friendship? with Tin to get away with it. She refused, and that was where all the trouble began. Tin even went to the extent of apologizing because she had no intentions of making things difficult for Production.

?It was [previously agreed] that the soap was to be extended till July and there would not have been any problem with Tin. Thing is, when negative stories came out about Tin, she felt betrayed and did not want to work on a new season for the soap. She was really hurt, and what was even more painful was that Tin has been working hard on this soap and wanted to prove her worth as an actress.

?When she heard that Mr. M wanted to ban Andoy from working with other Star Magic artists, Tin said that it [was uncalled for] because ?ayaw niya madamay ang ibang tao na hindi naman talaga involved.? Star Magic and Andoy Ranay have talked and all is well with them.?

So there we have it: Abracadabra! Presenting a meek and mild Kristine Hermosa.

Iza for Cosmo

Grab a copy of Cosmopolitan?s 11th anniversary issue this month with Global Pinay Iza Calzado on the cover. She took it upon herself to act as an ambassador for Filipino artists, armed with a strong desire to show international productions what Filipinos are capable of when she shot the Hollywood counterpart of ?Sigaw ( The Echo).? Loud and proud!
