FEEDBACK
Of systems loss and melting ice

Philippine Daily Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines?From Manolo Guzman (man80guz@gmail.com):

Judy Ann Santos thinks she can get away with all of her endorsements. Her recent TV ad protecting the Meralco monopoly and justifying the passing on of systems loss to the poor consumers are revolting and an insult to the Filipino people. Her analogy and comparison between systems loss and melting ice smacks of ignorance and stupidity.

Is it because of her or her cohorts? mind-set that the masa idolizes her and will swallow every endorsement she makes? On the contrary, it makes us think that, at this point, there is no ?truth in advertising? in all of her endorsements and that fame and money are all she and her manager are after.

Similarly, she is endorsing an artificial flavoring which violates her vow as a graduate of culinary arts to use all-natural ingredients, refraining from using artificial flavorings or making ?shortcuts? to enhance the flavor of a dish. Now people are beginning to doubt if the slimming pill she is endorsing has a semblance of truth or her weight reduction is a result of another drug or a clinical procedure.

Cause-oriented groups who cry foul have all the right to be agitated by her declarations. Because of money and the wrong sense of utang na loob to the Lopezes, she has betrayed the fight of the masa who supported her and made her what she is now. With all those fighting for the reduction of electricity rates, we should band together to boycott Judy Ann, her projects and her endorsements.
