MANILA, Philippines?American band Journey?s 2008 tour with new Filipino lead singer Arnel Pineda is in Germany with shows that began Tuesday at Ewerk in Cologne, and resumes tonight at the Hessen State Fair in HombergEfze and tomorrow at the Jako Arena in Bamberg.
The tour opened at the 3,000-capacity La Riviera Hall in Madrid, Spain?of which, the band?s official website reported, only 70 percent was filled. The discussion forum on the website had one fan citing ?ticket prices priced a bit high at 45 euros? as reason for the less-than-perfect turnout.
After Germany, the 64-date tour moves to The Netherlands (June 15, Arrow Rock Festival), the UK (June 17-23, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton and Cardiff), Ireland (June 25, National Stadium, Dublin), and swings back to England (June 27, Nottingham Arena, Nottingham; and June 28, Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle Upon Tyne).
It winds up October in Canada but the band is said to be considering an Asian leg, including a Manila stop, in November.
