MANILA, Philippines?Wondering what movies to watch on Father?s Day? Our suggestions:

?To Kill A Mockingbird? stars Gregory Peck, who plays lawyer Atticus Flinch, a single parent who?s raising two children. Set in a sleepy town in 1930s Alabama, the movie tells the story of a man and the uncompromising stand he takes against racism by defending a black man wrongfully convicted of raping a white woman. The movie?s message to fathers: Practice what you preach!

The film is based on Harper Lee?s Pulitzer-winning novel. Critics described Peck?s acting as ?very natural,? and his interaction with the children is so authentic that it seems the story is taken from his own life! It was adjudged by the American Film Institute as one of the greatest American movies of all time.

?Flags of Our Fathers? pays tribute to the men who gave their lives at the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. It tells the story behind the famous photo taken by the Associated Press? Joe Rosenthal on Feb. 23, 1945 that shows five Marines and a navy corpsman raising the US flag on the island?s Mt. Suribachi.

Director Clint Eastwood examines the heroism of the men who gave up their lives there and the ensuing ?celebrity? and hype accorded to the three surviving flag-raisers upon their return to the US?where they were treated as ?props? in the American government?s political propaganda!

?Father of the Bride? and its sequel. The former details the emotional struggle of a doting father (Steve Martin) when his beloved daughter decides to get married. As he goes about planning the wedding, he reflects on his own life and marriage, which has weathered countless storms?and his relationship with his soon-to-be son-in-law.

In the sequel, Martin deals with the complications of being a father with a newly-married daughter, and becoming a grandfather. He also comes to terms with the pregnancy of his daughter?and, unexpectedly, his wife! Martin Short, as the overbearing, gay wedding planner, provides hilarious moments.

?Fathers? Day? follows a lawyer (Billy Crystal) and a writer?s (Robin Williams) search for a boy who has run away from home, whose mother told them separately that they were the kid?s biological dad!

?Three Men and a Baby? is a comedy about three single men?an actor, an architect and a cartoonist?who live together in an expensive bachelor?s pad. A baby?the actor?s daughter from a short-lived affair?is then left at their doorstep. The three men soon become its loving and doting ?dads?! And the baby?s arrival becomes a life-altering experience for all of them.
