MANILA, Philippines?Believe it or not, the birthday party that actress-TV host Ruffa Gutierrez hosted for 200 guests on Saturday was the first she ever organized for herself.
?It was always mommy (Annabelle Rama) who did that. I was very excited about this one,? said Ruffa, who had some help from events organizer Cynthia Almario.
?Ruffa wanted a lounge-party feel, with lots of pinks and greens,? said Almario.
The celebration, held at the Blue Leaf in Taguig City, was a gift from the Belo Medical Group to its new endorser.
Ruffa donned a turquoise mini by Rajo Laurel. Her bag, by world-renowned Filipino designer Bea Valdez, reportedly cost P100,000.
?My wish for myself is to continue to be happy and blessed,? said the birthday celebrator.
Ruffa?s brother Raymond and her best friend Donita Rose hosted a trivia game. Ruffa refused to reveal the answer to the question about her relationship with estranged husband Yilmaz Bektas. ?That?s so corny,? she quipped. ?Next question please.?
