In her latest movie, ?Paupahan,? the actress has once more earned the admiration of her director and costars. She plays the 73-year-old caretaker of a rich family?s mausoleum, whose only wish in life is to be buried beside her departed husband.

Director Joven Tan, who worked with the actress in a horror flick years ago, describes Romero as intelligent and intuitive. He reveals: ?She comes to the set well-prepared, and she dispenses motherly advice to everyone.?

Costar Snooky Serna has worked with Tita Gloria many times. She tells us, ?Our relationship goes beyond the set, because I regard her as a second mother. One thing I can?t forget about her, during those times when I was being reprimanded for my tardiness, she gave me a watch?but I did not get offended. She tells me my mistakes straight to my face!?

Another celebrity who has deep respect for Romero is German Moreno, whose friendship with the movie queen he traces back to their Sampaguita days. He discloses: ?I personally asked her to star with me in this movie. We had several dramatic scenes together, and I was so nervous acting with her, but she made me feel very comfortable!?
