RUSHES

MANILA, Philippines--Hunky Actor-Politician, who’s very much married, is a notorious womanizer.

Last year, chismis columns reported him romancing Beauty Queen. Recently, BQ reportedly threw a birthday party for her one-year-old kid at a country club in a posh village where HAP was also reported to have bought a house for her.

Connect the dots: HAP was spotted at the kiddie party.

Joke among friends

HAP’s male buddies constantly joke about HAP’s “house” in that posh village.

Once, he told pals he was going home in the suburbs for a quick shower.

Best Buddy jested: “I thought we were neighbors in (insert name of posh village).”

Hot subject

Last weekend, Rushes received a text message that HAP was spotted in a five-star resort on Boracay Island— in the company of Leggy Beauty. No, not Beauty Queen; this one’s a Brazilian model!

A journalist who was vacationing on the island confirmed the report, saying HAP was the hottest subject at the Caticlan airport where he was seen with LB. Full sked.

Doing very well

NICE, France— “Everything went smoothly. The children are doing very well, the mother is doing very well and the father is doing very well,” gynaecologist Michel Sussmann said Sunday of Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their newborn twins.

The boy, named Knox Leon, weighed 2.27 kilos and the girl, called Vivienne Marcheline, 2.28 kilos, according to a maternity clinic here. Jolie, 33, gave birth to the twins on Saturday, slightly earlier than scheduled, during a half-hour Caesarean operation.

Pitt, who had previously attended the birth, also by Caesarean section, of their daughter Shiloh in May 2006, “was very calm and was not at all disturbed” by the operation, said Sussmann. “When the babies arrived he was very euphoric” and Jolie had a “blinding smile”, he added.

The first photograph of the baby celebrities was sold to a US paper for $11 million, the regional Nice-Matin newspaper said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause. AFP

Sir George honored

LOS ANGELES — Sir George Martin, the classically trained producer who helmed the Beatles recordings from their mop-top phase through their late musical masterworks, was honored Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Martin, 82, received a career award from The Recording Academy’s Grammy Foundation. He is the most successful record producer of all time, according to the academy, with more than 50 chart-topping hits and one-billion units sold.

His son Giles Martin received the tribute, saying it was a “huge honor” for his father. “But he always said, ‘They give me an honor for still being alive.’ You know, because he’s English, and we’re very self-deprecating.” AP

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend’s gabfests on TV. (And why were are moved, if we are moved.)

• Piolo Pascual, on meeting Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo on the plane trip back to Manila from the Paris Cinema International Film Festival:

“Wala namang problema... Hi, hello lang. That’s it.” (Playing safe?)

• Judy Ann, on reports of Piolo and his entourage and their group, which includes fiancé Ryan, snubbed each other on the connecting flight from Dubai:

“Walang isnaban na nangyari. Nag-hi, hello. Nag-appear-an sila ni Ryan. Matatanda na kami... mga trenta na... kumbaga, siguro ginusto na rin ng Diyos na magkikita-kita na kasi tapos na naman ang isyu.” (We’re stuck on “matatanda na kami.”)

• John Lloyd Cruz on baring Bea Alonzo’s feelings towards Jake Cuenca:

“Typical naman sa isang tao... na magandahan ka o magwapuhan ka sa kapwa mong nilalang.” (Marami lang nagulat, kasi nga...)

• John Lloyd, answering a hypothetical question about courting Sarah Geronimo:

“Sa mga babaeng artista ngayon, iisa lang si Sarah Geronimo.” (That’s not much, is it?)

• Desiree del Valle, asked to comment on the annulment of Vhong Navarro and Bianca Lapuz’s marriage:

“I don’t think I have any right... Basta... okey kami ni Vhong. ’Yun lang.” (Korek.)

• Melissa Ricks, asked if she was mad at Claudine Barretto for slapping her in a scene of their new soap when it was not part of the script:

“Hindi po. Proud pa po nga ako. At least, naka-eksena ko si Ms Claudine.” (Gan’on?)

• Claudine, on her biggest sacrifice while taping the teleserye:

“Si Raymart at ’yung kids nag-a-adjust. Naiiyak ako kahit sa set kasi parang hindi ko na sila masyadong nakikita.” (But this happens all the time, girl.)

• Lotlot de Leon, on an encounter with Nora Aunor’s alleged partner, Nori Sayo:

“Hindi naging maganda ang pagtatagpo namin. I will not elaborate... Basta hindi ako proud doon sa ginawa ko. Hindi ko rin pinagsisisihan kasi may mga bagay na feeling ko sa edad kong ito ngayon, kailangan matuto na rin akong tumayo at magsabi kung ano talaga ang nararamdaman ko at ilagay sa tama ang lahat.” (Tama rin, ’di ba?)

• Gretchen Cojuangco, on her relationship with Tony Boy Cojuangco:

“We are very good friends. We still live in the same house. Nakakagulo lang talaga ang mga taong nasa paligid namin. Katulad ng mga kaibigan ni Tony. Hindi po ako galit pero nakikiusap ako na wala nang gatungan.” (It would help to not talk, trust us.)

• James Yap reveals what he shared about wife Kris Aquino during marriage counseling:

“Dati inis na inis ako at saka galit na galit ako dahil nagde-desisyon ng mag-isa ito eh. Hindi pinapaalam sa akin. Major ano ko ’yun eh. Kailangan ipaalam mo kung ano yung mga desisyon mo. Para walang problema, di mag-aaway. In-open up ko yung di ko gusto sa ginagawa niya sa akin, ganyan. So pinagsasabihan siya. Malaking pagkakaiba.” (Courageous man.)

• James’ message to Kris after counseling:

“Ang dami nating natutunan in the past three years. Sana mas lalo pa tayo tatatag. Love kita. Sana habang buhay tayo magkasama. Forever.” (Sweet.)

•Kris’ message to James:
(’Wag na lang.)
