RUSHES
E-mail from a love child; brickbat from the other side

MANILA, Philippines?Rushes received an e-mail from a woman who claims to be the Love Child of an Award-Winning Actress and a Stuntman.

LC sent us a photo ? she bears a striking resemblance to AWA in her younger years.

LC, who resides in the province, would like to know how to contact AWA, who now lives abroad. LC says she was raised by a former co-star of AWA?s.

Missing the point

An Actress-Politician, who came out in a blind item in Rushes, was inadvertently out-ed on a TV show and in another broadsheet.

For the record: The Rushes item?s main concern wasn?t AP and her alleged affair with a Married Politico, but a White Paper that detailed alleged unethical practices in the entertainment media.

And for the record: Rushes didn?t mention AP?s alleged multi-million house/gift from MP ? contrary to the item in the same broadsheet. In any case, AP denied this one. Big deal!

But here are questions AP should answer, issues that the TV interview failed to tackle: 1) Is there any truth to the White Paper?s allegation that AP clinched a lucrative government deal for a relative because of MP? 2) How about the White Paper?s claim that certain entertainment personalities are in MP?s payroll? Et cetera. Et cetera.

The latest twist in this real-life telenovela involves AP?s Sexy Sister, who purportedly got insecure because AP is now rolling in moolah and basking in the spotlight, according to a movie columnist who was quoted in the White Paper.

Now, that?s entertainment!

Reality Star?s backer

A Male Reality Show Contestant with questionable sexuality supposedly has a rich and powerful backer.

Gay Businessman is reportedly determined to make MRSC win, against all odds. Biggest odd is that MRSC cannot carry a tune with a bucket, says a network insider.

KC-Chard film gets a ?B?

The Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) gave a grade of ?B? to ?For the First Time,? which top-bills KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez.

So why were media people not invited to the premiere? Is it because Star Cinema isn?t confident about the product?

There was a mad scramble for tickets and there weren?t any left for the press, explained an insider. What, after that spectacular media blitz?

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend?s gabfests on TV. (And why we are moved, if we are moved.)

? Bernard Palanca, on estranged wife Meryl Soriano:

?Relationship-wise, we?ve finalized that part ? If she finds somebody, I wish her the best with him. I hope he makes her happy. She deserves [that].? (From the book of top show biz quotations. Joke!)

? Dorothy Laforteza, on the men in daughter Sunshine Dizon?s life:

?Ayaw kong makialam kung sino ang dapat sa kanya? Wala akong nagustuhan kahit isa. Nakikisama lang ako.? (Shush, mom.)

? Sunshine, asked if she will love again soon:

?Huwag muna. My dad ? (And your parents.)

? Carlene Aguilar, on Cristine Reyes mentioning her son Calix in interviews concerning Dennis Trillo:

?Sabi ko, pagsabihan niya si Cristine na huwag isali si Calix sa usapan kasi baby pa siya eh.? (Kahit di na siya baby, actually. Gusot n?yo ?yan eh.)

? Patrick Garcia?s mom, Bing, on Jennylyn Mercado giving birth to her grandchild, Alex Jazz:
?Ayaw [naming] mag- gate crash? Gusto namin may invitation.? (Yikes, ?di pa ba tapos ito?)

? Marjorie Barretto, on the annulment of her marriage to Dennis Padilla:

?This is ? proof [of the] failure of my marriage and I?m not proud of it ? I want to ask his forgiveness because hindi ako naging masyadong strong toward the end. Maybe I needed somebody to give me strength. Hindi niya naibigay ?yon. I?m sorry he has to go through his problems alone and I wish him well. I [hope] he finds somebody, kahit half of me.? (Same book quoted by Bernard Palanca? We want a copy!)

? Annabelle Rama, on why she wants KC Concepcion for her son, Richard Gutierrez:

?Mahal niya ang pamilya niya, ang parents niya. ?Yun ang importante sa akin sa isang babae ? ?pag nakita ko na mahal niya ang nanay, tatay at pamilya niya. Doon ako bilib..? (Oo nga.)

? Richard, asked if he ever expected falling for KC:

?Parang suntok sa buwan si KC sa akin; mahirap abutin. ?Di ko naisip na magiging napakaswerte kong lalaki na kahit papaano ay nahaplos ko ?yung buwan na yon.? (Let?s not go there.)

? KC, on what lessons about love she would impart on her kid sisters Frankie and Miel:

?Kailangan experience nila, kwento nila, love story nila ang mangyari. If they fall, kung may pagkakamali, sa kanila ?yun eh. (Hmm, loaded.)
