MANILA, Philippines?Jason Statham has a new leading lady in his latest action starrer, ?Death Race.? She?s Natalie Martinez, a Cuban-American actress and model best known for her role as Michelle Miller on the MyNetworkTV telenovela, ?Fashion House.? She is also the ?spokes model? for JLo by Jennifer Lopez.
?Death Race? marks 23-year-old Natalie?s feature debut. She plays Statham?s sexy navigator, Case, does some stunts, and even gets to fire a machine gun or two.
Leading lady
Statham is impressed with his new leading lady. He starts off by stating the obvious: ?She?s smoking hot!? Then, simmering down, he shares: ?She has a real cool look to her that made her stand out when she auditioned. She came in and read with some other actresses?and she won the prize!?
Meanwhile, in ?The House Bunny,? funny girl Anna Faris charms as Shelley Darlington, a Playboy Bunny who teaches a group of awkward girls about the opposite sex?only to learn that what boys ultimately want is what?s on the inside.
The combination of seductive looks and comedic ability isn?t easy to come by on TV and movie screens, so Faris should enjoy a long and prosperous career as Hollywood?s latest sexy comedienne.
For their part, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel reunite onscreen in ?The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2? as the lifelong best friends audiences fell in love with three years ago. All four actresses have done well since the original film was shown, but they enjoyed shooting together so much that they cleared their schedules so they could work with each other again in the sequel.
In addition, the film introduces four exciting teen actors cast as the girls? ?significant others.? They are Michael Rady, Leonardo Nam, Jesse Williams and Tom Wisdom. Rady plays a charismatic Greek student, Nam is cast as a video geek, Williams is uninhibited Leo, and Wisdom portrays a Shakespearean actor.
Perky fun
Finally, ?Beverly Hills Chihuahua? ?stars? two tiny bundles of perky fun and talent. The canine sensations are cast as a pampered, diamond-clad chihuahua named Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) and Papi (voiced by George Lopez), a tough-looking pooch who falls head-over-paws for the fashionista chihuahua.
A wise and weary actor once warned his colleagues never to act with babies and animals for fear of being completely upstaged. Well, Chloe and Papi have ?Beverly Hills Chihuahua? all to themselves?and they run away with the film!
