MANILA, Philippines—Comedian Arnell Ignacio will bid his loyal “GoBingo” viewers goodbye in October, Inquirer Entertainment learned on Monday.

“GoBingo” will be replaced by another game show—“Family Feud.” A network source said actor Richard Gomez was being eyed as host.

“Family Feud” is set to start airing third week of October, according to GMA 7 senior vice president for entertainment TV Wilma Galvante. But she declined to reveal the identity of its host, as the network was “still asking the permission of the show’s distributor (Mark Goodson Productions).”

“Family Feud” pits two families against each other in a contest that names the most popular responses to a survey-type question posed to 100 people.

“I used to feel depressed whenever my show goes off the air,” Ignacio told Inquirer in a phone interview. “I’ve learned to cope with this eventuality. Now, I’m just very thankful to have been given the chance to be in that program.”

“GoBingo,” distributed globally by Purple Records London, returned on air on April 14 after a nine-year hiatus.

“We bought the rights to air ‘GoBingo’ for just a total of 26 weeks. We may or may not see it again next year,” said Galvante. Marinel R. Cruz
