MANILA, Philippines - At Senator Bong Revilla?s 42nd birthday bash on Wednesday night, some guests settled their differences, and some others avoided each other like the plague.
Controversial actress Gretchen Barretto, once romantically linked to Revilla, surprised everyone when she turned up at the party, held at the C3 Events Place in Greenhills, San Juan. The actress also had a highly publicized spat with Revilla?s wife, Lani Mercado, a few years ago.
Guests were deee-lighted when they saw Gretchen and Lani shake hands and pose for the cameras alongside the birthday boy. Actresses Ruffa Gutierrez and Rufa Mae Quinto?both previously linked to Revilla as well, were among the most intriguing guests.
Revilla, dressed in a red striped button-down shirt, was apparently having a ball. ?Past is past, di ba? Wala nang tampuhan. That should be the theme of this party,? he declared. ?This has always been my wish?sa lahat ng bagay, gusto ko magkaisa.?
Not them
But observers said talent manager Annabelle Rama made sure not to "bump into" GMA 7 executive Wilma Galvante, with whom she had a falling out last month over a disagreement on how the movie of Rama?s son Richard Gutierrez should have been promoted on GMA 7.
Also spotted during the bash were producers Malou Choa-Fagar of ?Eat! Bulaga,? Lily Monteverde of Regal Films, actors Lorna Tolentino, Aga Muhlach, Phillip Salvador, Boots Anson Roa, German Moreno, Eddie Gutierrez, Miriam Quiambao, Joel Torre, Jestoni Alarcon, Ronnie Ricketts, Monsour del Rosario, Ian Veneracion and singer Ogie Alcasid.
Congressmen Prospero Pichay and Dodot Jaworski, Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Juan Miguel Zubiri and Manny Villar, Jinggoy Estrada and former senator Robert Jaworski and wife Evelyn were present as well.
