Dollywood
Kapamilya and Kapuso in-laws?

MANILA, Philippines?Actress 1 shed tears backstage while watching the on-cam interview of Actress 2 who was crying as she tried to clear her name. Was it out of A1?s sympathy or empathy? One naughty onlooker commented, ?Kasi naman pareho sila ng kaaway.? United tears of drama queens?

While a young actress was having treatment in a skin clinic, she was making chika with the attendant. Initially, it was all about show biz issues. Then the attendant was floored when the actress asked her pointblank in the vernacular, using the most vulgar Tagalog word for sex: ?Who among the young actors do you want to go to bed with?? How?s that for (un)pleasantries?

Eye to eye

Angelica Panganiban shines as Scarlet, the woman everyone loves to hate, in the teleserye ?Iisa Pa Lamang.? But in real life, she?s out to make her detractors love her by proving them wrong about issues such as her having ?amnesia? when it comes to press people.

She?s bent on memorizing the names of everyone and wearing glasses to avoid mix-ups. Controversy breeds ?rackets.? An eyewear company volunteered to be the sponsor of Angelica?s contact lens. She can now see eye to eye with the press.

Tough challenge

During my birthday bash, I didn?t expect that ?Startalk? would interview me and Tita Nena (Amalia Fuentes) about my best friend Liezl Martinez?s (Tita Nena?s unica hija) condition. We both didn?t say much except to express our support for Liezl as she?s hurdling a tough challenge these days.

I urge everyone to stop speculating and just say a little prayer for Liezl. That?s the best thing to do.

?I can?t express the anguish I?m going through,? sighs Tita Nena. If and when they?re ready, they will talk. In the meantime, let?s respect their need for breathing space and silent understanding. That?s not too much to give nor too much to ask.

The family wants to be left alone for now. But it doesn?t mean they are alone. They gain comfort and strength from all those who love them even from a distance.

Childhood sweethearts?

Also at my party, the cute son of Marvin Agustin, Santiago, kept saying ?Anya Anya!? when he saw Tin-tin Bersola. Anya is Tin?s cute daughter, who happens to be Santiago?s classmate. I chided Tin and Marvin: ?If ever your kids grow up and end up together because they were childhood sweethearts, would that be okay with you??

They both laughed and were cool with it. Kapamilya and Kapuso as future in-laws??
