MANILA, Philippines - This joke, about two high-profile, controversial movie stars, is making the rounds via SMS:
R: I don’t know what to give my boyfriend on his birthday. He’s so rich, he has everything — mansions, yachts, private jets, limos … Can you suggest anything?
G: My phone number?
Gabby clone breaks out
Funnyman Ramon Bautista, who refers to himself as “the gentleman from Cainta,” believes he has made it at last. He stars with his idol FrancisM in the Nescafe Ice Coffee “viral video” (clips that become popular through Internet sharing).
Not that he was surprised. “The doctor who delivered me told my mom, ‘This baby is the next Gabby Concepcion.’”
Actually, what he wanted to be was an astronaut. “But the Philippines had no space shuttles,” Bautista, 30, said. He enrolled in Architecture, but soon realized it wasn’t his calling, either. “Then I noticed there were so many ugly movies. I thought, ‘I could make ugly movies, too.’ So I shifted to Film at the UP.”
Believe it or not, he didn’t get to make a single ugly movie. Instead, his college thesis, “Makina,” won first prize at the 2000 Gawad CCP for video animation and at the UP Diliman Film Festival the following year.
And now he’s a rap master, he insists. His challenge to the reigning masters: “Get ready, ’cause I’m bringing you down.” But he adds hastily, “Joke lang.”
Apparently breastfeeding
NEW YORK — A photo of actress Angelina Jolie apparently breastfeeding appears on the cover of W magazine.
Jolie is shown in a sleeveless top, opened to reveal part of her left breast, plus a tiny hand, ostensibly belonging to one of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, born in July.
The actress last caused a stir when she wore a white nursing bra underneath her tank top on the cover of People magazine after she and Pitt had daughter Shiloh, now 2 years old.
La Leche League International, the world’s oldest breast-feeding support organization, applauds Jolie’s apparent decision to be photographed nursing. “We need more role models like [her],”’ said La Leche spokeswoman Jane Crouse. AP

Ate Vi sticks to the glass. As current hot endorser of Bear Brand, she extols the milk product every chance she gets. “Not just one, but two [glasses]!” is her battle cry, and she swears she practices what she preaches.

LOS ANGELES — Actor Gerard Butler, star of the movie “300,” is being investigated for an alleged attack on a photographer, a Los Angeles police spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
A photographer filed a police report accusing Butler, 38, of punching him several times in the face in a scuffle early on Tuesday morning, said LAPD spokeswoman Ana Aguirre. Reuters
NEW YORK — If you’re wondering what was going through Britney Spears’ head during her erratic era, you are not alone — so does she.
“I sit there and I look back and I’m like, ‘I’m a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?”’ Spears said in an interview to air on MTV on Nov. 30, two days before the release of her new album. “I’ve been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there’s a lot that people don’t know.”
Spears says she’s hoping this TV special will “set the record straight” about her life. AP
