New faces
MANILA, Philippines?John Paul Regodon, a De La Salle University student and Divina Beceril, a professional model, were proclaimed Male and Female Face of the Year in the annual quest for a new set of faces to grace television and the print media held recently at the PAGCOR Theater.
Other winners were: Lennard Marvin Cruz, Male Discovery of the Year award; Gabriel Iñigo Uy Garcia, male first runner-up; Mc Carlou Timbol, male second runner-up, was the crowd favorite; Princess Joy Palma, Female Discovery of the Year; and Chanela Limpin, female first runner-up; Ma. Isabella Mendoza, female second runner-up.
The judges were led by film director Jeffrey Jeturian and former Navotas representative Ricky Sandoval.
Emmy judge
For the third time, GMA Network senior vice president for News and Public Affairs Marissa Flores has been selected as juror in the annual International Emmy Awards to be held at the Hilton Hotel in New York City on Nov. 24. She will sit as judge in the documentary category.
Flores first joined the Emmy Awards? jury panel in 2004 as judge in the non-scripted entertainment category. In 2005, she was a panelist in the documentary category.
Public patrol
ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs launches ?Bayan Mo, i-Patrol Mo,? which welcomes public reports on issues like corruption, anomaly, crime and tragedy via the Internet or mobile phones.
Chosen stories will be featured in segments of ABS-CBN?s ?TV Patrol World,? ?Bandila? and ?Umagang Kay Ganda,? in programs on ANC and dzMM and in the website www.abs-cbnnews.com.
