MANILA, Philippines?Amid the Christmas rush and frenzy, we sometimes find ourselves in crazy situations.

Expenses as well as emotions run high during this stressful season. For instance, I wrapped one of my daughter?s new toy and gave it to my inaanak when she came to the house. She opened it right away. When my daughter saw it, she exclaimed, ?Ma, that?s my doll!?

Celebs share their nicely naughty and naughtily nice Yuletide memories. Hahahahappy Holidays!

Miriam Quiambao

I went to Santa Claus? house in the North Pole for ?Pinoy Meets World? in 2006. I was super excited and feeling giddy when I sat on Santa?s lap as he asked me for my wish. We had pictures taken with him after, so I took off my down jacket. I posed on his lap again and I felt his fingers fiddling against my sweater! I was disillusioned! I couldn?t say anything ?cause Mrs. Claus was right beside him!

Pops Fernandez

When Ram was still a kid, he asked me to watch their Christmas school play. He proudly told me that he was the star. So I kept looking for him onstage. What he meant pala was star ang role niya. It was hard to spot him kasi naka-costume siya na shaped like a star!

Ricky Davao

My daughter Rikki Mae wanted a cell phone for Christmas so we went around the mall to look for one. Every time may mapili siya, I would tell her na it?s too expensive. But ?di niya alam I bought her one na and recorded my voice as her ringing tone. During gift-giving time, I told Mamita (Pilita) to be the one to hand it to her. I went out to call Rikki Mae on her new phone. She got so shocked to hear my voice as the phone rang.?

Christian Bautista

I gave away a pricey pen as a recycled gift. I didn?t know that it had my name engraved on it. The recipient politely returned it to me thinking I made a mistake.

Jolina Magdangal

May pulis na sumita sa akin. Binigyan ko ng pamasko na envelope na alam kong may gift certificate and cash inside. When I got home, my mom was asking for the envelopes kasi wala pa palang laman. Kawawang pulis! Nabigyan ko ng envelope lang.

Jed Madela

I received a box of chocolate cake as an early Christmas present and placed it in my ref. During a house party, I asked my maid to serve it as dessert. Everyone burst into laughter when they opened it. I was surprised to see a brown picture frame! All the while I really thought it was cake!

Engaging book

Kudos to my esteemed colleague Nestor Cuartero for his very engaging book ?At Large, At Leisure.? It contains articles on the environment, travel, the passing scene and the arts. Reading his book leaves you with more than what you hope for. At large, at leisure, Cuartero is at his best!
