Dollywood
Carmina happy with her twins

MANILA, Philippines?Carmina Villaroel is tired of incessant questions as to why she and Zoren Legaspi have not tied the knot yet. Why fix what ain?t broke? Most show biz couples are more married than happy, anyway.

Mina is happiest doing TV ads with her adorable twins Mavy and Cassy. Their latest endorsement is for Bioderm Family Germicidal soap. ?My kids are super sweet,? she says. ?They promised me and Zoren that they will take care of us when we grow old. They told us that even when they?re adults na, they will still live with us.?

Even when the twins grow up, they won?t outgrow the need for their parents. The family that poses together, stays together.

Walkout drama

Baron Geisler flared up during the taping of ?Everybody Happy.? He was supposed to portray a gay ex-convict.

?You?re exploiting me,? he shouted. ?Ang dami namang pwedeng kunin, bakit ako pa? Masyadong nakakababa sa pagkatao ko ?yung role.?

And then he stormed out of the studio. Knowing Baron, he?s not the type who would keep his feelings bottled up inside. That sitcom episode should be called ?Everybody Antsy (on the set).?

Fashion sense

Angel Aquino, Rica Peralejo, model Amelia de la Cruz, my son IC and I went gaga over the fab clothes, hip bags, shoes and accessories at Mags boutique?s opening (Annex 1 Bldg, 3/F SM North Edsa). It?s the No. 1 retail store in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro. Charming owner Mags Cue really has an eye for fashion. She shops abroad for one-of-a-kind merchandise.

C?est Mags magnifique!

?Bangungot? phobia

The dad of Mark Herras told me his son knocked on his room in the middle of the night. Half-awake, Mark gasped, ?Dad tabihan mo ko sa pagtulog. Feeling ko para akong nababangungot!? He probably is just so affected by Marky Cielo?s death that?s why he felt that way. Slumber Destroyer!

Nice Night, Sleep Right Mark.

Marky?s home

Yasmien Kurdi sent me a text message me from the Mountain Province: ?Mama and I came from Banaue and Sagada. We?re now back at Marky Cielo?s place. We climbed Sumaging cave. One hundred percent effort talaga inexert namin. We also walked along the Rice Terraces. I love the a la ?Twilight? weather here.?

Is the half-Lebanese turning Igorota?

Bora attraction

Dingdong Dantes is taking a much needed break in Boracay after Christmas. E!?s ?3rd Sexiest Man in the World? in beachwear will surely be a heavenly sight in Paradise Island. Dong will keep Bora people?s eyes and mouths wide open.

Film fest choice

Among all the MMFF entries, I enjoyed ?One Night Only? the most. I couldn?t stop laughing even when the movie was over. The cast jelled well and the dialogue is hilarious. Ricky Davao and Chokoleit?s scenes cracked me up. It ought to have a ?second night.?

Scene stealer

The sequel of ?Desperadas? is a lot better than the first. Ogie Alcasid, who portrays a tribal queen and the long lost half-sister of Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado, Ruffa Gutierrez and Marian Rivera, stole the show. Wendell Ramos? portrayal of a closet queen was quite engaging. The daughter of Ruffa in the movie turned in an endearing performance.

10th year

Paolo Bediones celebrated his 10th anniversary in the biz. He has won all possible awards for a host in various program formats and has been elevated to the Aliw Awards Hall of Fame. ?What matters is staying power,? says Pao.

To spread around his savoir-faire, he will conduct a seminar for aspiring hosts, write and publish ?Hosting 101 Manual? and stage a major birthday special. Pao?s a ?10? at 10!
