BACOLOD CITY, Philippines?Sarah Geronimo made a young, cancer-stricken fan very happy recently when the pop singer sang to her over the cell phone.

Thirteen-year-old Metos Lachica of Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental would have flown to Manila to meet her idol, Sarah, but this was ruled out because of her current state of health.

Instead, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Metos got a call from Sarah who asked her how she was.

Upon learning from Metos that her cancer had spread from her bones to her lungs, Sarah urged her to pray, after which she sang Metos? favorite song, ?How Could You Say You Love Me.?

?I was so happy she called,? Metos said. ?And she even sang my favorite song.?

Sarah also promised to give Metos an autographed CD of her album ?Just Me? and a DVD copy of her movie ?A Very Special Love? with John Lloyd Cruz.
