The celebrator, the Family?s Matriarch, is a big fan of YS and her children thought of surprising her with YS?s presence.

During the mini-concert, FM noticed that YS?s earrings were fake.

After the show, FM pulled YS aside and gifted her with a pouch filled with real jewelry pieces.

Needless to say, YS snapped out of her jet lag, pronto.

Fresh-faced drunk

In an interview on ABS-CBN?s ?SNN,? Cinemalaya 2008 Best Actor Baron Geisler has called ?derogatory? the Inquirer?s use of the term ?rehab? in a news report where he said he would again seek professional medical assistance for his alcohol dependency. But that?s exactly what rehab means.

Besides, rehab is no longer a big deal for celebrities, commented ?SNN? hosts Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda.

In fact, it?s so commonplace and is probably the most convenient description even for those who want to kick off their vices ? even without doctor?s orders.

There?s another artist who stubbornly refused to admit she had a drinking problem and even wrote a song about it. The song?s title? Oh come on, the whole world knows of Amy Winehouse?s ?Rehab,? right?

Is she for real?

A recent episode on the TV program ?Maala-ala Mo Kaya? has rankled UPLB students and alumni. It is about a woman who allegedly graduated summa cum laude with a BS Agribusiness degree at UP Los Baños who couldn?t find a job and ended up a stripper.

The school has issued a statement, asserting it ?could not find among its 27 summa cum laude graduates anyone matching the subject... ?

The statement asked program producer ABS-CBN to ?set the record straight and correct the wrong impression that it created among its viewers.?
