Dollywood
Sarah gets hefty bonus

BOSS VIC DEL ROSARIO OF Viva Films refutes allegations that their major star Sarah Geronimo got only 500K as talent fee for her two blockbuster movies, ?A Very Special Love? and ?You Changed My Life,? both joint productions of Star Cinema and Viva.

A production insider says Boss Vic added enough moolah to make Sarah?s fee equal to her co-star John Lloyd Cruz. The amount remains undisclosed. He also gave Sarah a hefty bonus.

Boss Vic wouldn?t have lasted in the biz for so long if he didn?t know how to take care of his wards and compensate them properly. Viva la Viva!

Pacman?s demands

A highly-placed source told me that, prior to Manny Pacquiao?s transfer to GMA 7 from ABS-CBN a few years back, Pacman had unreasonable demands and the Kapamilya network refused to budge. So he jumped ship and became a Kapuso.

Now that he is staying with GMA after his thwarted transfer to ABS, I wonder what sort of demands he made. The prized fighter has a way of making the networks fight.
If only he could play fair with ABS and GMA just as he does in boxing.

Beach boy

Dingdong Dantes plans to spend Holy Week at any nice beach resort. ?I want to be surrounded by water and peaceful people, says Dong. ?My most meaningful cuaresma was when I reenacted the sufferings of Christ when I was 8.?

Dong?s ?Calvary? is over. He?s now enjoying a foretaste of paradise in his charmed life.

Concert week

Karylle is spending Holy Week in Subic. ?I?m having a healing concert with Ricky Davao, Jackielou Blanco, Christian Bautista, Kyla and Bethesda at the Boardwalk,? says K. ?I?ll never forget Maundy Thursday last year because during rehearsals, we saw the dancing sun.? K?s now dancing on sunshine with all the well-deserved breaks coming her way.

Holy Week destinations

On Holy Week, Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz are off to the US, Precious Lara Quigaman is flying to Bristol, UK and Miriam Quiambao is Bali-bound. Stars usually work even during holidays. So they must find peace and quiet during Semana Santa lest they go crazy and exclaim, ?Santa Santisima!?

Madame on board

I had a blast at the 7107 Islands midnight cruise on Manila Bay. Guest of honor was Madame Imelda Marcos. Veteran balladeers Jun Polistico and Anthony Castelo performed on board.

It was fun chatting with Madame, who was in a jolly mood. ?I don?t mind if people use Imeldific as an expression,? she says. ?It has become synonymous with fabulous.?
Some of her post-Malacañang thoughts? ?At least when they raided my closet, they found no skeletons. Only shoes. That makes me well-heeled (laughs).?

Madame let her hair down and gamely jammed with Jun and Anthony. She thanked the dashing owner of the ship, Steve Tajanlangit, for promoting the country. ?We have so many unexplored islands. It?s a good thing Steve thought of buying a ship so that more Pinoys and foreigners can see the unmatched beauty of the Philippines.?

See for yourself and join the Holy Week cruise (April 8 to 16) to Coron, Palawan and Marinduque (www. 7107islandscruise.net, tel. no. 887-7107). You?ll never get bored on board. Ship, ship Hooray!

PERSONAL: Thanks Mr. Red (A.D.) for making me high school girly happy.
