CHEER FACTOR
Suggested names for ‘Survivor’ celeb edition

By Bayani San Diego Jr.

Filed Under: Celebrities, Entertainment (general), Television

IT STARTED AS A JOKE: Which celebrities would ?Survivor Philippines? host Paolo Bediones like to see stranded on a desert island?

Turns out, a celebrity edition of the GMA 7 reality show is already in the works, Bediones confirms.

Terms
But first, he notes, the production team has to settle some crucial questions, among them:
1) ?What makes a celebrity??
2) ?Does a YouTube sensation qualify as a celebrity??
3) ?Is fame (or infamy) a necessary prerequisite to celebrity??
4) ?What if the celeb is no longer active?? (Or, to be blunt, what about a has-been?)

Candidates

Inquirer Entertainment elicits from host Bediones and ?Survivor? Season 1 alumni several names for the show?s ultimate celebrity edition.

First name on Bediones? list is feisty talent manager Annabelle Rama.

How about Rama?s nemesis, GMA 7 executive Wilma Galvante? he is asked.

Bediones hesitates and says, only half in jest: ?I might lose my job.?

Others on Bediones? wish list: Rival station ABS-CBN talents Willie Revillame and Kris Aquino and, for added spice, he includes Aquino?s former boyfriend Joey Marquez.

Season 1 big winner JC Tiuseco hopes Bediones himself will go through the wringer as a contestant?along with his ?Unang Hirit? co-hosts Drew Arellano and Jolina Magdangal and basketball player Chris Tiu.

Unconventional castaway Kiko Rustia has equally unconventional choices: Broadcasters Mike Enriquez and Arnold Clavio, TV host Eagle Riggs, action star Robin Padilla, interior designer Tessa Prieto-Valdes, sex siren Katrina Halili and soap star Eula Valdes.

Eye candies
Castaway Emerson Dino has his heart set on character actor John Regala, along with comedian Teri Onor and eye candies Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera and Rhian Ramos.

Season 1 alumna Kaye Alipio picks Kapuso hunk Alfred Vargas and Kapamilya stud Will Devaughn. She also wishes to pit Rufa Mae Quinto against Ethel Booba in the same tribe.

Add glamour

Alumnus Jace Flores chooses glamorous stars like Richard Gomez, Victor Aliwalas, Marky Lopez, Paulo Avelino, Isabel Oli, Sheena Halili, Ryza Cenon and Kris Bernal.

Season 1 graduate Nikki Dacullo suggests unlikely castaways like actor Paolo Contis, comic Pekto, pretty girls Michelle Madrigal and Yasmien Kurdi, model Wilma Doesnt and stunning siblings Paolo and Bubbles Paraiso.

The most varied list comes from castaway Vern Domingo: Jean Garcia as resident contravida, Tiya Pusit as mother of the tribe, Chariz Solomon as island comedian and Bianca Araneta to represent the chi chi set.

Vern?s boys include comedian Jan Manual (to make people laugh with his impersonations of boxer Manny Pacquiao), Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda (to provide music) and chef Tristan Encarnacion (to cook good food).
