CYNTHIA Alexander and Nyko Maca+Playground?two Filipino artists with a wealth of influences and diverse backgrounds?perform on April 17 at the NBC Tent, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, in an event billed as Jack Daniel?s Global Music Tour-Philippines.

The show serves as a sendoff to Alexander and Maca, who will represent the country when the tour culminates on May 8 at the Hard Rock Cafe Singapore.

The promoters started sponsoring Pinoy bands in 2004. At the time, the performers were Boldstar, Twisted Halo and Purplechickens.

Three years later, various legs of the tour included lineups like Chicosci and Taken By Cars; Queso, Junior Kilat, Tropical Depression, D-Coy and Red-Eye; and Mayonnaise, Chilitees, Cambio, Artstrong, Razorback and Radioactive Sago Project.

Ticket holders at the NBC Tent gig will have a chance to win a free trip to the Singapore show.
