RUSHES SUNDAY
What not to ask the 2 Davids

Philippine Daily Inquirer

MANILA, Philippines—Media people who attended the press conference of Idols David Cook and David Archuleta were given instructions not to ask three questions.

The off-limits topics included: (1) the recent death of Cook’s brother; (2) Archuleta’s fascination for local diva Regine Velasquez; and (3) rumors concerning Archuleta’s gender.

No one dared.

Nice guy Archie

To be fair, Archuleta is such a nice guy, said Pinoy TV Host who interviewed him, that you wouldn’t have the heart to ask intrusive questions.

Archuleta is a charmer, PTH said. Or as Cook would describe Archie: “He’s one of the most genuine people I know.”

When Archuleta guested on “Sis,” Pinoy celebrities, including the show’s hosts, asked for snapshots onstage, on air.

In return, the hosts gifted Archuleta with a barong Tagalog, as well as toy nipa hut, ice cream cart and jeepney.

The Idol runner-up said he had seen jeepneys on the highway and would like to ride one.

Good luck.

Blue blood?

Sad but true.

A trusted source relates that Male Singer has finally left Latest Girlfriend, with whom he fathered a love child.

MS has found New Lover, the daughter of a Filipina who was once married to Asian royalty.

It’s unclear, however, if NL also has blue blood in her veins.

Don’t you dare
While Archuleta would risk life and limb for a jeepney ride on Edsa, Cook said he would gladly try balut.

Archie himself is crazy about Philippine mangoes. “They taste like heaven,” he said. “Like eating a smoothie. I had two mangoes for breakfast.”

“I’ve eaten lots of mangoes, too,” Cook told the hosts of “Eat Bulaga.” He visited “Bulaga” on Friday and, just like Archuleta the day before, caused quite a commotion.

Of the fuss and frenzy, Cook said, “It’s a trip.”

Playboy and certified heel

Debonair Playboy is heavily involved with Gorgeous Celebrity, said a mole.

Although DP is from a political clan, he’s into show biz stars. Before GC, DP was linked to Beauty Queen.

DP’s a heel, said a source. When they ran afoul of the law abroad, BQ supposedly took the fall for DP because he promised marriage.

The altar date was not to be, and BQ remains an ex-convict in the public’s eyes.

Bossing’s Lifeline

If he were a contestant on the TV5 game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” host Vic Sotto would choose girlfriend Pia Guanio as his Lifeline/Phone-a-Friend.

Awww.

He said Guanio gifted him with a medical checkup for his birthday on April 28. In return, Sotto presented Guanio with “a clean bill of health.”

Awww.
