MANILA, Philippines? The season finale of ?American Idol? at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles Thursday airs live in Manila at 8 a.m. on Star World.
At press time Tuesday, tentatively scheduled to perform in the two-hour show are former ?Idol? winners Carrie Underwood and David Cook, as well Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas and Keith Urban.
Contenders
In one corner is 27-year-old flamboyant rocker Adam Lambert from California, a stage actor since he was 10. He dominated the tilt week after week since the start of the final leg in March, transforming every song he interpreted.
Among his most memorable performances is that of Tears for Fears? ?Mad World,? which earned him a standing ovation from the most-feared judge, Simon Cowell.
Easy style
Lambert?s competitor is clean-cut Kris Allen, a 23-year-old musician from Arkansas, who forged his way to the finals via his easygoing style. He delivered one of his best pieces on Disco night, an acoustic version of Donna Summer?s ?She Works Hard for the Money,? complete with bongo drums.
