MANILA, Philippines ? Solar Entertainment president Wilson Tieng has announced that his company is producing a movie for Manny Pacquiao, which, this early, has a supporting cast.

?No contract has been signed, though, so I can?t say anything more,? said Tieng.

The film project, he added, will be Solar?s own, not co-produced with GMA 7 or any other production outfit. GMA 7 is Solar?s free TV partner in the exclusive broadcast of Pacquiao?s fights.

Pacquiao?s last film, ?Anak ng Kumander,? was an entry in the 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Pacquiao affirmed his ties with Solar before winning over Ricky Hatton on May 3.

?We will also broadcast more Donaire and Viloria fights,? Tieng said. ?And of course, Manny will have one last fight before the year ends.?

For its nine channels across cable and free TV platforms, Solar is set to offer more new programs towards the remainder of the year, including the hit CBS series ?The Mentalist? on C/S 9 and ?Sanctuary? on its newest channel in partnership with NBC Universal, Sci Fi Channel.
